The Importance of Self-Advocates as Co-Facilitators
Choosing self-advocates as co-facilitators is extremely important because of all that these self-advocates can bring to the table. These individuals are able to lead by example for all ability levels. Through this, they are able to reach others and encourage them to better their health, employment, and with goals and aspirations of their own. These self-advocates can relate to all, but especially those with various abilities and experiences. Not only do co-facilitators gain leadership experience, but they are also GREAT at what they do!
